SUSTAINABLE ENERGY

SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF RESSOURCES

Les Petits Débrouillards is a network of associations dedicated to linking the scientific and technical cultures to the public. Providing support with an experimental approach, the members of our network have the following objectives: the fun through scientific discovery and the culture of the pleasure of understanding. We want promote the taste for scientific reasoning and develop the sense of sharing.

“The Sustainable Habitat “

Throughout the course of this activity, the students will discover some of the numerous possible solutions for minimizing the impact of construction on the environment now and in the future through experiments and the game involved in this activity.

“H2HOMME, the water issues in the world”

Of all the planets in the solar system, Earth is the only one with a disposable hydrosphere. Even though water is found both on and below our surface, specialists have estimated that over 1,500,000,000 humans do not have access to drinking water. But let us ask, from where does water come? Who controls the distribution? Who sets the prices? Who assures its management? Is this management equal throughout the world?

This exhibit is in the form of posters and will be coupled with the hands-on activities and small experiments, allowing the public to better understand the problems that we all face concerning water.

“ENERGY in all of Its States!”

The UNESCO has declared 2012 as the international year of sustainable energy for all. In “Energy”, we decided to think about the diversity of energy sources to study the different modes of production (combustion, turbine, reflection). To treat the question of how do we use the source to create energy, we analyze different uses (heating, light, and transportation) and then discuss the different practices in use and consumption that occur in different parts of the globe. Then, we analyze if everyone has the same amount of energy and if we all use it in the same way. Finally, we meditate on imagining a future energy system, treating the question, “Which energy will be available tomorrow?”
